I have a Sony Bravia LCD TV (KLV-40Z450A) and am struggling to find the correct code for it on the remote set-up to be able to power the TV on and off with the HK remote. Are you able to assist?

Can you tell me why sometimes I get HVS and Stereo as sound options (usually on Sky Movies HD which is broadcast in Dolby Digital) and then watching BBC HD I also get Original? All channels are connected through Sky + HDMI cable

Asked by: Rbye
Hi. This could sound as if the surround signal received by the BDS is not in a format it recognizes. Try to look into the setup menus of your TV box to check if you can change the digital output format. Stereo and HVS are selected because the BDS senses stereo input, not surround. If this does not help, you can either test your TV box with another surround receiver, or contact Harman Helpdesk for real troubleshooting.

hi, what brand / type of TV would you recommend to work best with BDS 485S?

Asked by: axkx
Hi Thank you for your interest in our products. It's really impossible to answer this question, since we don't know what else you would be using the TV for. In any case, to watch DVD's/BluRay discs, we can only suggest that you have a HD television, with a 1080p resolution. If you require more information, please reach out to us on customer.support@harman.com

My bds485s won't play 4K uhd disc, it just ejects saying disk not recognised, I thought this was supposed to play 4K discs?

Asked by: Rbye
Hi Rbye, The BDS 285S or 585S models cannot play UHD disc, they are only able to upscale a normal Blue-Ray disc to UHD. If you need more information, please contact our helpdesk.
