Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classy, small footprint, and what a punch. I upgraded my Panasonic home theater system and decided to go with the Marantz NR1607 receiver and the Harman Kardon HKTS 16 for speakers. Did some research on multiple sites and this was the best setup for my particular need. I was familiar with the footprint of these speakers since I shopped them against Definitive technologies. Overall, I have to say, I'm very pleased. I had some fine tuning issues with the receiver, but once that was sorted out, the sound that was emitted was wonderful. The clarity and deep base was exactly what I was looking for. Using this setup in our 22 x 24 ft. family room with 16 ft ceiling and no distortion. Nothing but positive things to say. Hope this system last me a long time. And happy shopping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from At the sale price... a TOTAL bargin Wonderfully sized sub-woofer and satellite speaker. Total overkill for my condo but the sound quality thru my HK AVR is excellent. Had a high-end sound bar before but found myself playing it overly loud hear all the subtle sounds. w/ this setup, I play at lower level but hear all the channels clearly and in "3D". Speakers are big enough to fill out the full range of sound without lokking like huge briakc in the condo. After 3 sound bars and one other system (speaker sounded great but looked huge in my small space), I've stopped trying to find a find a system I'm satisfied w/... love this setup (HKTS16+HK1610S AVR)

Do the speaker have to be mounted on the wall or can they just set on end tables?

Asked by: Concerned husband
They can either be mounted on the wall or set on end tables. The HKTS 16 comes with wall-mountable brackets for the satellite, or you can purchase the optional HTFS 2 floor stands. Please, note we recommend keeping the satellites and center channel at proportional height level and facing towards the listening area (ear level).

Work with onkyo 444?

Asked by: Siddique
If you are referring to the ONKYO TX-SR444 then yes, the HKTS 16 would work with that receiver. The ONKYO TX-SR444 can provide 65 watts at 8-ohms, while the HKTS 16 can handle power up to 120 watts at 8-ohms. Please note, to drive these speakers to their full potential, you might want to consider a much powerful amp/receiver.

Hello, Which would be a better receiver to match with the HKTS16 system?  The Denon AVR-S510BT or the Denon AVR-S720W?  Would both work? Thank you.

Asked by: JK85
Yes, the HKTS 16 is compatible with both the DENON AVR-S510BT and DENON AVR-S720W receivers. The HKTS 16 can handle up to 120 watts of power at 8 ohms, while the DENON AVR-S510BT and DENON AVR-S720W distributes 70W at 8-ohms and 75W at 8-ohms, respectively. Going for the S720W would be slightly better due to it having a bit more power.

Will HKTS 16 work with Pioneer - Elite 980W 7.2-Ch?

Asked by: MIKEEEE
The HKTS16 speaker can handle up to 120W of power at 8 ohms. As long as your receiver is rated at 8 ohms and puts out 120 watts per channel or less, it will work fine with these speakers.
