Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic product Despite knowing these speakers are mostly used for PC’s I thought I would buy them for my TV and for general music in the main room of my house. I was not disappointed, very clear and the base almost makes it feel like you are in a cinema when watching films. For music they are fantastic and the best sound device I have heard in a long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent sound quality and look great Bought as I work a lot from home and wanted a speaker system that produced high quality sound for a reasonable price, which is exactly what this does

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice, crisp sound Bought this refurbished set a few weeks ago now. You would never know they weren't brand new. Very crisp and clear audio, good volume range and they look amazing. The subwoofer has a nice ambient light and i wish the speakers had the same but not a problem. Would definately recommend these to anyone looking for very good quality PC speakers. Very cool indeed

How can ] turn on stand by mode to safe power

Asked by: Monky
The Soundsticks 3 would automatically go into standby mode if there is no volume for 5-10 minutes or the source's volume is too low.

Hello, I'd like to purchase the Soundsticks III system for use with my TV which only has an optical output. Are these speakers suitable for use with a DAC which could then make them my main speaker? Or will using a signal converter reduce the quality?

Asked by: mattdoherty91
Hi Matt, You can use a DAC so you can use your Optical output to play the TV sound to the SoundSticks 3. The sound quality will then be the same as when you would connect the 3.5mm jack straight into the headphones output of your TV, or when you would use a Line-Level output ( red/white RCA plugs ) to 3.5mm AUX. The DAC converts the signal to analog, which is the same as is done by the TV already when using any other analog output. You will not get better sound quality by using the DAC.

Hi, the sound on my soundsticks has all of a sudden stopped. There is power to the subwoofer and I can hear very faint music coming from the speakers and the subwoofer working slightly too. As soon as I touch the ‘+’ to turn the sound up, all sound stops?

Asked by: Garrydymond
Hi. I can suggest some troubleshooting, but FB is not the best forum for diagnosing problems and arranging possible service. But here goes: first remove power from the power supply. Now disconnect all connections in the system, and reconnect them carefully. As always, pay extra attention with the mini-DIN plug, which must be inserted precisely. Do not connect a source device yet, but insert the input cable into the input cable socket, so you have the stereo mini-jack at the other end. Turn on the system, and you can now test if it works by tapping the nose of the input mini-jack while slowly increasing the volume with the touch-pad Vol+ on the right stick. If the system works, you will eventually hear a humming sound when you touch the tip of the mini-jack. If you hear no hum, even with maximum volume, something has gone wrong in the system, and it must be sent to service. If you do hear hum, music should also work, and you can now try with either the original source device, or another source, if the original one does not work. If you are in doubt about this, or need more assistance, please contact harman customer support helpdesk. Phone number and email form are on the Harman Kardon website, under Support. I hope this helps.

Hello, I recently got Harman Kardon Soundstick III (refurbished version from harman kardon ebay store). Its working great however whenever I start to play something the sound comes 1-2 second later. This late respond time is normal or is it a defect? TY

Asked by: Ozgun
Because it's automatically turns off to save power after a few minutes (led is off) and after that when it receives an audio signal it needs 2 seconds to turn on. Not a big deal.

HI, is it compatible with an ampplifyer and a record player from the 60’s?

Asked by: Loumdl
Hi, the Soundsticks 3 is compatible with Devices that have an Aux out so it would connect to the Aux in of the soundsticks 3.

would these work with irig 2 hd.? I have the first generation one and it is not compatible.

Asked by: sweep and destroy
Hi Since the iRig HD2 has a 3.5mm Headphone output, you should be able to use that together with the SoundSticks III, as this connects to any other 3.5mm ( headphones/AUX ) output.
