No ventilation.\r\n\r\nFirst, check the wiring at every speaker terminal at the back of your receiver and at the back of your speakers. A single strand of speaker wire crossing from one terminal to another would be enough to cause the amp to shut down or go into PROTECT.\r\n\r\nIf you do not find any problems with any of the wiring, you should disconnect all speakers from your receiver. If the receiver continues to go into PROTECT, the problem is in the receiver. Please submit a case on the Contact Us page. They will be able to assist you.\r\n\r\nHowever, if it turns on, the problem is elsewhere. Begin reconnecting one speaker at a time. Eventually you will connect a speaker that will cause the receiver to shut down. At this point you have found your culprit.\r\n\r\nOn the other hand, it may just be overheating. You must have at least 2 - 3 inches of space between the top of the unit and any shelf or component above the unit. The unit should not be inside a sealed compartment when being used. The unit must be able to breath. There are very powerful amps in these receivers. If they run too hot, they will shut down. An external fan can help this."},{"attributes":{"type":"FAQ__kav","url":"/services/data/v38.0/sobjects/FAQ__kav/ka0i0000000kCDYAA2"},"Title":"How do I play via Bluetooth on HK 3770?","Id":"ka0i0000000kCDYAA2","ArticleNumber":"000006569","ArticleType":"FAQ__kav","Question__c":"How do I play via Bluetooth on HK 3770?","Answer__c":"1. Place the 3770 in Bluetooth input mode with the BT button on the front panel or the remote.\r\n2. Do a BT search on the phone, until you find HK3770. Then pair with it.\r\n3. On some phones, you can simply begin to play music after performing the pairing, and the HK3770 will play, if it is in Bluetooth input mode, shown on the front panel display.\r\n4. You can control play/pause etc. from either your phone or from the HK3770 remote control. If you want to use the HK3770 remote, you must first press the STEREO Button on the remote control in order to activate the correct remote codes. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything I was looking for. Box came smashed in from shipping company but thanks to the packaging it was undamaged, thank goodness! This thing is bomb! The sub out was a must have for my reciever. Bluetooth connects perfect with my Note 8, also a must have. Ample power, great product! Missing smart home connectivity.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Receiver with a Quirky Remote I have had HK amplifiers/AVRs since the 70's. As happy with the Factory Refurbished HK3770 as I was with the others. Great sound with lots of features and plenty of power at a great price. Nice compact size to fit in tighter spaces. I hope this lasts as long as my other HKs. Due to the different types of source selector buttons on the remote and the way they are allocated to the inputs, getting the different inputs programmed on my Harmony 650 remote was a little tricky and sometimes takes two button pushes to select a desired input. Maybe I will figure it out eventually. Also did not get an Owner's Manual, just a quick start guide with the receiver but I found the Owner's Manual on-line.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superior Sound I’ve only had the HK3770 for a few days but I’m just so impressed with its performance, had to write a review. Absolutely 5-Star performance and sounds just amazing. Running with a pair of Pioneer towers and Polk Audio sub, has brought an entirely new life to my HiFi. Super powerful amp with virtually zero distortion. Easy set up with intuitive controls. Even though was a factory recertifed unit, looks absolutely brand new. Flawless!

I have a HK3770 and while it sounds good, the sound always seems to be weighted a bit to the right speaker. Is there any balance control built in to the receiver?

What is the cutoff frequency at the subwoofer output?

Asked by: Oscar Cardenas
There is no set cutoff frequency at the subwoofer output, since the sub output on all of our stereo receivers is full range. You cannot use an LFE input on a powered sub. You must use the standard input and use the crossover on the sub to set the cutoff frequency to your liking.

There is no sound from the speakers and it says SPK NONE STEREO in the display. Have never seen that before and can't remove it or get the sound back. What should we do.
