Why does the bar automatically mute the microphone when using input from the TV? It's very annoying having the 4 orange lights on the front and it defeats the purpose of having a soundbar with Google assistant!

Asked by: Jnevk
Thank you for your question. You will have to use the Google Voice Assistant button on your Citation Bar remote control when using HDMI, AUX or Optical. When you press the Google assistant button, the current volume level will temporarily decrease and the Google Voice Assistant will begin listening for your command. The reason you need to use the remote control is that Google Assistant does not support Multi-channel audio from your source device (TV, Blue-ray Player or TV-BOX) and therefore the mic is automatically muted unless the Google Voice Assistant button is pressed. This may be different in the future with new software updates. Google Voice Assistant is always listening when streaming music over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.

I have the HK SB 16. If I buy the Citation bar will it pair up with the SB16 sub?

Asked by: Eddiemalo71
"The Harman Kardon Citation Bar has a subwoofer that is specifically designed for the soundbar itself and will connect wireless on a certain frequency. This means that the subwoofer cannot be used with another model soundbar. If you need further assistance, please submit a case request at https://www.harmanaudio.com/support-contact.html and the Customer Service Team will be more than happy to assist you."
