Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprised at the sound compared to size Plugged it in and the bass off it , shock the floor and a loose bit of plaster fell off number 19 into old Mavis's earl grey tea , she didn't realise because she was tapping along went to take a swig a few secs later and nearly choked stood up slipped on her cat (frank) and popped her hip out the drama , quality sound though .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Immense sound quality This is the third Harman Kardon system I have purchased simply due to the awesome quality they deliver. Initially purchased the soundsticks several years prior, upgraded to the Aura Plus due to staying in line with latest generations. As I have two separate offices, something was a miss whilst I worked in my new office thus purchasing my third Harman Kardon system and my second Aura Plus. The sound delivery is absolutely amazing and the system adapts well to a wide range of genres. Furthermore, the wireless connection is so very convenient without compromise on sound quality. Highly recommended and modestly priced.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing speaker with a rubbish app I bought this speaker after hearing one at an event and was blown away. It is every bit as good as I hoped and the sound quality is first class, plus it looks stunning. The Android app however really lets it down and could so easily be improved. It not just looks dated but it is not intuitive and keeps losing connection with the speaker with no clear indication of why. I can live with it and am getting the hang of it with a bit of guess work, but its a shame that Harman Kardon have put so little effort into their app when it is the main way of connecting to such as amazing product. If the app was even half decent I would have given the speaker 5 stars.

Will the Aura Plus remain connected to WiFi even if no music is being played?

The Aura Plus will remain connected. If the Wi-Fi light on the speaker is on and solid, this means it is connected; otherwise, it is not.

Hi Yes, the Aura Plus should also go into sleep mode when it's connected to WiFi, however you are also able to wake it up from sleep again, by streaming audio on WiFi or Bluetooth ( if you have a mobile device paired with the HK Aura Plus ) to the Aura Plus.

which hk aura model has a built in rechargeable battery?

Unfortunately, the HK Aura, Aura Plus,Aura Studio and Aura studio 2 is not considered a portable speaker as it does not have an internal battery. It is required to be plugged into a wall outlet using the included 19V DC, 3A power cord to play music.

is the unit suppose to be plugged to the outlet everytime you want to use it? I just got this hk aura plus brand new two days ago, and it only work when it is plug to the outlet. Is this how this model work?

Yes, The Harman Kardon Aura Plus is designed for home audio and need to be plugged in to work since it doesn't have a battery.

Can someone please confirm the difference in lighting options? I was going to purchase the Aura plus refurb but its not clear if this model features the ambient lighting?

Hi, Thank you for your question. The AURA plus does not feature ambient lighting, but the top ring does light up "dome" that we are calling "360 degrees lightning".

Will dual feature be available to aura plus that i have right now? Or if i have aura plus and aura studio 2, will that me able to use dual connection?

There are no plans to add the Wireless Dual Sound feature to the Aura Plus. As of this writing, only the Aura Studio 2 has this feature can only be paired with another speaker that has the Wireless Dual Sound feature too.
